What is formaldehyde?
Formaldehyde is a kind of volatile organic compound (VOC). It is a colourless, flammable gas with a strong pungent odour at room temperature, and is easily soluble in water, alcohol and ether. The main symptoms caused by long-term exposure to low concentrations of formaldehyde are tearing, sneezing, coughing and even conjunctivitis, rhinitis and bronchitis.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has designated formaldehyde as a carcinogen. Many studies have pointed out that children exposed to formaldehyde are prone to asthma symptoms. Formaldehyde also increases the risk of cancers such as leukemia and nasopharyngeal cancer. The higher the amount of formaldehyde in the air and the longer the exposure to formaldehyde, the greater the risk of cancer.
Source of formaldehyde
Formaldehyde will be released into the air from building materials and newly purchased furniture such as compressed wood, processed wood floors, paint and fabric furniture. These are the main sources of volatile organic compounds. Generally, people stay in their homes for more than 8 hours a day. Although formaldehyde (HCHO) is not highly toxic, long-term inhalation can be dangerous to the body and affect health. The “Guidelines for Air Quality” (2000) issued by the World Health Organization recommends that the formaldehyde level is not higher than 100 µg/m3 (0.081 ppm).
Dedicated tools for formaldehyde removal services
BLATN BR-smart-128s CO2 PM2.5 air quality monitor TVOC Formaldehyde detector
The formaldehyde monitor can instantly detect a variety of pollutants, including PM2.5, PM10, formaldehyde, CO2, TVOC and other values. Formaldehyde uses a highly accurate electronic sensor to accurately distinguish 0.01mg/m3 formaldehyde molecules.

Miele Allergy Vacuum Cleaner
A system that has a HEPA AirClean filter and meets HEPA level 13 requirements (EN 1822), which effectively filters fine dust and allergens, and is proven to block more than 99.9% of the overall dust capacity
With DMT “Excellent Air Hygiene” certification and TÜV “Suitable for Allergy Sufferers” certification, it is the only vacuum system with UK hospital filtration standards (BS 5415)

airDefender quantum photocatalyst for formaldehyde removal and TVOC deodorization products

Cleansy Group uses airDefender quantum-level photocatalyst to remove formaldehyde and TVOC to remove odor. The transparent and high-performance film formed on the surface of the object can inhibit the growth of bacteria for a long time, and it can also continuously reduce formaldehyde and formaldehyde through the catalytic effect of the titanium dioxide film. Remove formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds and other harmful organic compounds. airDefender quantum-level photocatalyst products have a number of German and Japanese laboratory and SGS test reports that prove that they can resist 99.9% of viruses and bacteria such as H1 N1, SARS, and coronavirus.
✅The product has passed the U.S. FDA SGS safety certification and is harmless to the human body.
✅ Effectively kill and inhibit 99.9% of viruses and harmful bacteria, remove formaldehyde and virous odours.
